The Imagekraft Agency brand and the flying fish first showed up in 2004 in the Metro-east Saint Louis area in the Midwest. It was ironic because there shouldn’t have been any flying fish near the area. Ten years prior to this, Asian carp populated the Mississippi and Missouri rivers due to a barge crash during the Great Flood of 93. They were indeed a form of flying fish.
I adopted the logo, just because I had remembered my professional aspirations of a young college student in 1993 to integrate creativity into audio and video marketing communications. The flood was throughout Illinois during that time because all the rivers had swelled. Besides keeping myself focused upon my career in Broadcast Communications—- aka Digital Media Communications, this flying fish also kept the idea of living in the Gulf coast (or anywhere tropical) in the back of my mind.
Advance forward 19 years later, and the flying fish of Imagekraft has finally found its home in a place that makes more sense. I arrived in Sarasota first in 2023 and have settled in Clearwater bayside. Imagekraft Sky is a direct spin-off brand of the Imagekraft Agency. It is a renewal to the commitment I have to digital communications.
I felt that commercial drone services that requires an FAA Part 107 licensee to pilot a drone to capture photos and videos needed its own brand.
